PROFILE
Gudlavalleru Engineering College was established in the year 1998, sponsored by Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy & Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao Educational Society, approved by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, Permitted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and permanently affiliated to J.N.T. University, Hyderabad.
Civil Engineering Department was established in 2009. The Department is offering undergraduate Course in Civil Engineering with an approved intake of 60 by AICTE. The Department is enriched with the needed and adequate infrastructure to support proper shaping of the students as professionals. Department is providing qualitative learning environment to student community enabling them to buildup willingness to learn and work. Department is striving hard and marching forward with systematically designed and executed objectives and goals in line with the Vision and Mission of the College.
OBJECTIVES:
- To bridge the gap between Industry and Institute to facilitate design and Implementation of Add-on-courses that match industrial requirements.
- To upgrade innovative R & D skills among the faculty and students.
- To make people more conscious about quality, attitude, commitment and integrity.
- To achieve win-win strategy.
LONG TERM GOALS:
- To establish a training, consultancy and testing centre in the department for interaction with local industries.
- To have collaborative programmes with reputed industries and laboratories.
- To establish the department as recognized and well-known research centre in different areas of Civil Engineering.
SHORT TERM GOALS:
- To modernise all laboratories and keep them up to date considering the latest requirements and also developments in different areas of Civil Engineering.
- To encourage faculty members to have interaction with industries.
- To encourage faculty members to get involved in research programmes leading to award of Doctorial Degree.
- To develop rapport with the professionals of the industries.
- To shape students as industry ready professionals.
- To understand the state of technology in engineering and management.
- To create organizational culture that promotes cooperative learning and team work
