Centre for Development of Communication Skills(CDCS)

The College, realizing that students should have good communication skills, has started "Centre for Development of Communication Skills(CDCS)".CDCS aims at making students speak and write simple and correct English confidently initially and training them in soft skills later.
              
CDCS provides GRE,TOEFL training to students.
              
The Centre is provided with a library of about 350 books and adequate number of CDROMS and audio cassettes related to Engilsh language,70 Computers with multimedia facility and internet connectivity, a OHP, TV, VCR and an Interactive Communication Lab.
               
Our college is an Authorized Learning Centre(ALC) for Modular Certificate Courses of Osmania University's PGRR Centre for Distance Education. First year students are trained for Osmania University Modular Certificate Course(Communicating For Success) followed by a workshop on the same.
               
So far 800 students have taken this Modular Certificate Course Examination and received certificates. Presently about 500 students have enrolled for this programme and they are about to take it in the last week of Aug’05.
               
Periodically workshop on communication skills and counselling on Group Discussions, Interview and Personality Development are being organized.
               
GRE and TOEFL training classes by experienced people from “JAVA ACADEMY”, Hyderabad are arranged.
               
Software from Globanena is also being provided. Digital Mentor Consisting of eight units is installed and it is of great use to the students who intend to improve their Knowledge Grammar, Reasoning etc.
