SKF: Student Knowledge Forum

Student knowledge Forum community is ab ever growing group of developers and friends who enjoy working together and learning from each other's experiences. It is a forum for empowering student community with the Anatomical, Behavioral, Communicative, Develomental, Entrepreneurial and Operational skills.

  • Promoting holistic development of student through participation and involvement, promoting social consciousness
  • Creating thirst for knowledge and quest for excellence
  • Raising the skills of students
  • Increasing the confidence levels
  • Promoting collaborative work for a common cause
  • Interaction with the government to build the trust between young citizens and the government, reducing the prejudice and the negative view of the government
  • Excellent ambassadors to various government programs in which they participate

Prof Ghanta Subba Rao, Ex-officio Secretary, e-governance & State Chief Information Officer(SCIO), has the vision of forming Student Knowledge Forums(SKF) throughout the state with the trained faculty members and students. As part of Governemnt of A.P, he has pioneereed e-governance applications in the state. As part of the Human Resource Development that would be required for Designing, Developing, Implementing and Maintaining e-governance projects, he has initiated suitable training programmes to the relevant faculty members and students of colleges conducting B.tech/MCA/MSc(IT)/MSc(CS) courses. Faculty members and best talented students out of each training programme would be used to train the personnel at the subsequent training programmes.

Details of SKF Training Programme:

Day 1: Inaugural function and 9 initial exams will be conducted in order to the participants, those who are taking part in this training programme and introduction class on hardware.

Day 2:  Hardware presentations, assembling and disassembling.

Day 3:  BIOS and Linux Installation and introduction class on web technologies and Linux commands.

Day 4:  HTML, Java Script, Introduction to PHP 5.0, and some basic functions. Preparing Home Pages, Linux commands.

 

Day 5:  Strings, Arrays and numbers in PHP, Introduction to Client Server Architecture.

 

Day 6:  Introduction to database concepts and database like Postgresql and My Sql and its connectivity to PHP.

 

Day 7:  file system and system functions and other advanced functions in Arrays and strings.

 

Day 8:  Object Oriented Programming with PHP, Introduction to Linux Services.

 

Day 9:  Sessions, Cookies and HTTP, some other Linux services.

 

Day 10:  Introduction to MVC Architecture and Introduction to UML.

 

Day 11:  Sample Application Design.

 

Day 12, 13 & 14: Application Developemnt.

40 Students are undergoing training in the programme and they will train some more students.
